Enhance nutritional security including good health practice promotion aimed to improve health seeking behavior of vulnerable communities, and build capacity of young professionals via swapping workplaces across India, Cambodia, and Bangladesh.

Brief Description

Addressing post-pandemic dietary awareness, this partnership swaps young professionals among partner organizations (PAHAL, KrY, and ASPADA) to escalate internal competencies on nutrition and healthcare, exchanging tools, approaches, and skills across country settings.

Outputs

• Increase in skills and knowledge of ASPADA health team members on implementing Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), Nutrition Resource Centre (NRC) and key family practices approach.
• Malnourished communities of Habirbari union gained increased access to nutritional services in local health facilities/ASPADA clinics.

Goals and Objectives

Vocational skills building of poor youth who dropped out of school recently (aged 18-25) on locally demandable trades, ensuring 70% job placement and 30% self-employment support.

Brief Description

Targeting poor young girls dropped out of school through the "Ostad-Sagrat" hands-on training model. Selected 150 young girls paired with Master Craft Persons (MCPs) for 6-month apprenticeships in market-demanded trades, supported by job placement and organizational capital setup.

Outputs

• 150 apprentices receiving hands-on training in dress making & tailoring, beauty parlor, IT services, and screen printing/block boutique.
• 150 destitute young girls received job placement and entrepreneurship development services.

Goals and Objectives

Design WASH loan products to facilitate water, sanitation, and hygiene needs of target communities including institutional capacity building.

Brief Description

Addressing climate change impacts on WASH in rural/urban settings. Capacity building of microfinance staff to enable them to design and disburse specialized water loan products to borrowers, creating both demand and financial access.

Outputs

• Inception and orientation workshops conducted.
• 40 Credit Officers received 4 days training on water credit adoption.
• 7 management level officers received ToT on water credit adoption.
• Implementing mass awareness raising activities on WASH.

Goals and Objectives

Improve the rural WASH scenario by capacity building of local entrepreneurs and construction of WASH facilities.

Brief Description

Co-financed by GoB, World Bank, and AIIB to improve access to safely managed water supply and sanitation while strengthening institutional capacity. Facilitates household water, sanitation, and entrepreneur loans for local material availability and promotes twin-pit toilet setups.

Outputs

• Conducted 3 district level coordination meetings at Mymensingh with district administration.
• 50 local entrepreneurs received 2-day training.
• 200 twin pit toilets established in selected areas of Mymensingh.
• Around BDT 27 Million disbursed for water, sanitation, and hygiene loans.
